West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran has been in sensational form during the 5 T20I series against India. And the left-hander continued that Midas touch in the 5th and series-deciding T20I in Florida to hammer the Indian bowlers all around the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground on Sunday.
Nicholas Pooran had cracked scores of 41 (34), 67 (40), and 20 (12) on the difficult pitches in the West Indies in the first three T20Is. He was in a marauding mood on Sunday in the series-deciding 5th T20I as West Indies commenced their chase toward the target of 166 runs.
The southpaw came ahead of Shai Hope at number 3 in the second over of the chase itself and straightaway took down the Indian bowlers.
Hardik Pandya had earlier challenged Nicholas Pooran for another battle after the Indian skipper had dismissed him in the earlier T20Is. Fair to say, it is Pooran who had the last laugh over Pandya as he smoked the seamer and other Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground in Florida.
On just the 4th ball he faced, he blasted Arshdeep Singh over deep mid-wicket. Next, it was Hardik Pandya’s turn to cop some heat from the aggressive left-hander on strike.
Nicholas Pooran clobbered Hardik Pandya for back-to-back sixes on the leg-side to have his moment over the Indian skipper.

He then took down Kuldeep Yadav, who’s dismissed him twice in the series, for a boundary, before smashing Chahal for another maximum. At the time of writing, when play has been interrupted by rain again, Pooran is batting on 46* (32) and West Indies are within the touching distance of victory, needing 49 runs in 45 balls.
