Arsenal have reportedly joined the race with fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United to secure the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
The 19-year-old is recognised as one of the hottest prospects in English football and has come under the radar of several European clubs. Ferguson has raised many eyebrows with his pace, shooting and heading since making his first Premier League appearance in February last year. He was the fifth-youngest senior debutant for Brighton in the history of the club. Ferguson netted his maiden goal in the English top flight in December 2022 during a Premier League fixture.

According to a report by Fichajes.net, Arsenal have also been keeping their eyes on Ferguson and can come up with an offer during the winter transfer. The Gunners are looking for a partner for their first-team striker Gabriel Jesus. If they manage to rope in Ferguson, the teenager will certainly add an additional strength to Arsenal’s attacking third.
On the other hand, Manchester United are also searching for a goal poacher even after signing Rasmus Hojlund from Italian club Atalanta. As the Danish forward has been struggling to showcase his A-game, the Old Trafford hierarchy is reportedly preparing a staggering offer for Evan Ferguson. Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a bid in the region of £48 million to sign the Irish youngster ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking for an option in the forward line. In a bid to strengthen their attack, Chelsea signed Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal in an eight-year deal worth £30 million. The transfer has yet to be proven beneficial for the London Blues, who are currently tenth in the Premier League table after 12 games.
