The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a media advisory to provide injury updates for the key players, who are sidelined at National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Friday, July 21. BCCI released the latest injury updates of star cricketers including Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Prasidh Krishna.
Update On Jasprit Bumrah And KL Rahul’s Recovery
As per the latest update from the BCCI, star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is in the final stages of his rehab and is bowling at full capacity again. It was last year in September when Bumrah last played an international game during the T20I series against Australia. He suffered a recurring back issue which ruled him out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and then the Indian Premier League 2023. Just like Bumrah Prasidh Krishna is all set to participate in the practice games at the NCA in the coming days.
Batters KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have started batting in the nets and are currently undergoing fitness drills. BCCI also gave a huge update on Rishabh Pant’s recovery and revealed that the keeper-batter has resumed batting and keeping in the nets.
BCCI Shared A Huge Update On Rishabh Pant’s Comeback
The BCCI also provided the much-awaited update on Rishabh Pant’s recovery. As per the report, the keeper-batter has resumed batting and keeping in the nets as he is following a designed program for him which includes running, strength, and flexibility.
Rishabh Pant is currently on a remarkable road to recovery as he is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. The star cricketer survived a fatal car accident last December, in which he suffered multiple injuries.
Recently, Pant shared a video where he could be seen performing weighted exercises including deadlift and bench press. He could be seen pushing himself to the limits during his workout session which reflects his determination and resilience. Sharing the video, Pant wrote:
“You get what you work for, not what you wish for,”
