Cameron Green Hailed Virat Kohli Ahead Of WTC Final 2023: With the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League done and dusted, all the focus has now shifted to the upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final 2023, which is going to take place between India and Australia from June 7th at The Oval Stadium in London.
Both India and Australia are eyeing their first-ever ICC WTC title win. While this is the second time India will be playing the World Test Championship Final, on the other hand, Australia is gearing up for their maiden win. India played the World Test Championship Final in the year 2021 too but ended up losing the game against New Zealand.

Cameron Green Named Virat Kohli As The Biggest Threat For Australia
Meanwhile, ahead of the much-awaited summit clash, Australia’s star all-rounder Cameron Green praised Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli, who has a reputation of doing exceptionally well against the Australians.
Recently, in a chat with ICC ahead of the start of the World Test Championship Final, Green hailed Kohli, suggesting that the Indian batter always tries to be the man to stand up and deliver when it matters the most. He was asked who will be the biggest threat to Australia in the World Test Championship final, the MI all-rounder picked Virat Kohli. Green acknowledged Kohli’s will and intent to do well. He said:
“Virat Kohli. I think he always tries to be the man to stand up in big moments,” Green said. “A World Test Championship is obviously a massive moment, so I look forward to that.”
Virat indeed loves playing against Australia. He has scored 1,979 runs in 24 Tests match against Australia at an average of 48.26, with eight centuries and five half-centuries. Across all formats against Australia, Virat has played 92 games, scoring 4,945 runs at an average of 50.97. He has scored 16 centuries and 24 fifties against Aussies.
Green Praised Rohit For His Green
While speaking with the ICC, Green also revealed that playing under Rohit Sharma‘s guidance was a great experience for him. He said:
“The calmness he has out in the middle is so evident,” He added: “He’s obviously been there and done that for 10 years. To be out there with him and just talk through a situation was awesome.”
Talking about Cameron Green, he smashed his maiden Test hundred when India and Australia last faced each other in Ahmedabad during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The Australian all-rounder carried his international form in the IPL 2023 with Mumbai Indians. He scored 452 runs at a strike rate of 160.28 and took six wickets to help the Rohit Sharma-led reach the playoffs. He would be looking forward to carry his form in the WTC Final as well.
