Fantasy Tips of The Day
Deepak Chahar can pounce on Kolkata’s weakness to give fantasy players early leads. While Kolkata have lost 25 wickets in the powerplay this season, losing at least two wickets in 10 of the 12 matches, Chahar has taken 47 wickets in this period in the tournament’s history.
Chahar’s presence, however, adversely affects Tushar Deshpande’s fantasy returns. Deshpande picked 12 wickets in six matches in Chahar’s absence but only seven in six matches when both of them played together.
320 of Devon Conway’s 468 runs this season have come in Chennai, with the help of three half-centuries and two thirties.
Meanwhile, Matheesha Pathirana has scalped eight wickets in four matches at the venue.
Ruturaj Gaikwad generated either a 30- or 50-run bonus in five of six matches against Kolkata to collect 243 runs at 40.
Ajinkya Rahane (71 runs) and Jason Roy (61 runs) were the captain and vice-captain respectively of the Best11 when the sides met last month.
Varun Chakaravarthy has generated 72 points for bowled and lbw, 34 for economy rate and maiden overs, and 24 for catches to go with his 17 wickets in the tournament.
Ravindra Jadeja (56 runs, six wickets, and three catches) and Andre Russell (111 runs, four wickets, and as many catches) featured in the Best11 in the last five matches.
Rinku Singh is a tough nut to crack in the second innings. He hasn’t been dismissed in four of five matches, scoring 184 runs with the help of 10 fours and 15 sixes.
While Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube have scored 266 and 315 runs respectively in the tournament, only 33% and 36% of them have come in Chennai.
