Former Pakistan spinner-turned-expert Danish Kaneria has attacked Indian batter Sanju Samson for his poor performances despite getting multiple chances in the Indian cricket team. Sanju Samson, who is hailed as one of the generation’s talent, has repeatedly failed to impress the fans by not living up to the expectations.
Danish Kaneria Slammed Sanju Samson
Kaneria feels that the Kerala player has failed to reach his full potential despite getting several chances to prove himself repeatedly. Samson is currently playing with the Indian cricket team in the ongoing 5-match T20I series against West Indies.
In the first two T20Is, Sanju failed to leave a mark with his bat and was dismissed for 12 and 7 runs respectively. He didn’t get the chance to bat in the 3rd t20I match.
Meanwhile, Kaneria has not been impressed with Samson’s performances for India so far. Kaneria, who called himself a big supporter of Samson, didn’t mince his words while criticizing Samson for his below-par performances. Speaking on his latest YouTube video, Kaneria said:
“India rested Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli so that they could give others a chance, as many have complained that a few players haven’t had enough opportunities. Now that India has played them, when are you going to score runs, Sanju Samson?,” said Kaneria
“He has had enough chances now. I was among the people who supported him and wanted him to get consistent opportunities. However, he hasn’t made the most of these chances,”
India will play the last two T20Is against West Indies in Florida on August 12 and 13. West Indies is currently leading the series by 2-1, having won the first two T20Is.
