Delhi Capitals are currently locking horns with Mumbai Indians in the ongoing match of the IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The David Warner-led side would be desperate to win this game as they have already lost the first three games of the season and are struggling to open their account in the ongoing IPL 2023.
While DC is under a lot of pressure today, their skipper David Warner left everyone surprised by batting right-handed in the ongoing match.
The Australian batter, who is known for his power-hitting and aggressive style of playing, isn’t new to changing his batting stance on the field. On Tuesday, Warner was at it again during the ongoing game.
The amazing incident took place during the 8th over of the Delhi Capitals’ innings. It was in the 3rd ball of the over when Manish Pandey took a single to give David Warner the strike for the free hit. And the Australian batting superstar left everyone stunned with the way he switched his stance. However, he couldn’t make the most of the free-hit given to him.
Shokeen bowled a short and flat delivery outside off and Warner ended up miscuing his shot. Only one run came off that shot.
The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Watch the video:

Notably, this isn’t the first time that Warner has changed his batting stance while playing. He batted right-handed in 2019 when he was playing in the Bangladesh Premier League. Midway through the 19th over of the Sylhet Sixers versus Rangpur Riders innings, he took guard right-handed against Chris Gayle.
Talking about the ongoing game, the David Warner side posted a target of 172 runs for Mumbai Indians. While David played a pretty decent knock for his side, however, he didn’t get any support from the other end. He was eventually dismissed after scoring 51 runs off 47 balls, smashing 6 fours.
