Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians registered their first win of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League as they defeated Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Riding on the brilliant opening stand between skipper Sharma and Ishan Kishan, Mumbai registered their first win of the season.

After his dismissal, Tilak Varma and Rohit kept the runs flowing as the MI skipper registered his first half-century of the ongoing season. DC tried to do their best and get in a breakthrough however MI openers had already done a lot of damage already.
Towards the finishing moments, DC managed to find a small comeback in the game taking the wicket of Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rohit Sharma in quick succession. However, Tim David and Cameron Green played crucial cameos in the end and guided the team past the finish line on the very final delivery.
