A comedian recently went viral on social media for resembling Pakistan fast bowling legend Shoaib Akhtar.
Pakistan bowling great Shoaib Akhtar sent the internet into a frenzy after organising a meetup with his female doppelganger.
Vinita Khilnani is a US-based writer and comedian who had been drawing parallels between herself and Shoaib on social media as a joke. This attracted the attention of several users and eventually reached the legendary Rawalpindi Express.

He recently uploaded a video of himself with the lookalike on platform X.
In the post, he wrote, “I have finally caught the culprit, and she is in trouble!!! @omgvinita #doppleganger”.
In the video, Shoaib can be heard saying that the content creator does look like a ‘female Shoaib Akhtar’. He also wished her all the best before mentioning that she makes some amazing content on the internet.
Cricket fans seemed to be amazed at this hilarious yet heart-warming interaction between the duo. Vinita herself commented on the post reaffirming the meetup as she wrote, “We finally met!!!!”.
While most fans agreed that the social media influencer did resemble the former Pakistan cricketer, one fan had questions regarding her cricketing abilities.
“Does she bowl 100mph as well?” he wrote.
Another account was touched by the wonderful gesture of the cricketer as they wrote, “A great cricketer + great human being”.

Vinita is the one responsible for this hilarious crossover. She recently posted an edited picture of herself and the iconic fast bowler and asked fans if she resembles the former Pakistan cricketer.
Vinita’s meme-worthy photo of her face masked onto the bowler drew th attention of several cricket fans on the internet.
Following social media’s approval she went to recreate Shoaib’s iconic run-up on the pitch. In the video, she even mimicked the signature arms-wide-open-run of the Rawalpindi Express.
Widely regarded as one of the fastest pacers that the sport has ever seen, Shoaib has been pat of some landmark wins for Pakistan.
The bowler has scalped 444 wickets for Pakistan across formats. He also holds the record for the fastest ball ever bowled in cricket history with his delivery of 161.3 km/h against England in 2003.
Despite his impressive statistics, Shoaib never won the ODI World Cup.
Meanwhile, Pakistan are off to a great start at the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup in India. They have already recorded two wins at the tournament – against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will next face the hosts, India on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
