Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals are locking horns with each other in the first game of IPL 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium at Dharamshala in a must-win game. Surprisingly, as the game kickstarted, Prabhsimran Singh, who was the hero for PBKS in their last game vs Delhi Capitals, didn’t feature in the playing XI against DC.
Why Is Prabhsimran Singh Not Playing?
In the previous game, Prabhsimran Singh impressed one and all with his stellar knock. He was substituted in the second innings for Nathan Ellis and went on to play a brilliant knock of 103 runs from 65 deliveries against Delhi Capitals in an innings. His knock was laced with 10 fours and 6 sixes.
His knock was so amazing that no one else apart from him and Sam Curran could even cross the 20-run mark, as they could only manage 167/7 but all thanks to Singh’s knock, PBKS won the game by 31 runs.
There are chances that Ellis will be substituted for Prabhsimran tonight.
PBKS have gone with the likes of Rahul Chahar, Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada, Nathan Ellis, and Arshdeep Singh as their 6 bowling options in the game. Prabhsimran isn’t a part of the playing XI but he has been named amongst the four substitutes.
