The Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai, but they were without their pace spearhead Trent Boult for today’s match.
Why is Trent Boult not playing today vs CSK?
Sanju Samson revealed at the toss that RR Speedster had a ‘small niggle’ and hence was rested from today’s match against CSK.
Trent Boult has been in phenomenal rhythm so far in IPL 2023. The left-arm seamer has taken 5 wickets in 3 innings at an economy rate of 7.33.
Trent Boult is the only bowler to bowl two maidens so far in the IPL 2023
And twice, RR Pacer has taken 2 wickets in the first over of the RR’s bowling innings.
In Rajasthan’s last match, against Delhi Capitals, Boult had returned with figures of 3/29 in a match-winning cause. He dismissed Shaw and Manish Pandey in the first over of the match, putting RR ahead in DC’s chase.
In place of Pacer, RR are playing with young Indian pacer Kuldeep Sen today vs CSK.
