Rajasthan Royals will be wearing special all-pink matchday kits against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League.
Rajasthan Royals made a ‘Pink Promise’ ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru scheduled to be played on Saturday, April 6. RR players will don a special all-pink matchday kits during the game against RCB. The team shared a video on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In the post, RR stars can be seen sporting the new kits ahead of the game. The clip even features Sri Lankan cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara who spoke on the social context of sports. “Tomorrow is special. We’re all-Pink, and this is our Pink Promise to the women of Rajasthan,” read the caption of the post.
This is what RR had to say about the Pink Promise on their official website, “On April 6 in the Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2024 match in Jaipur, the Royals will be wearing special all-pink matchday kits as part of their #PinkPromise, through which the team aims to amplify their support to the empowered women from rural Rajasthan, who are driving significant societal transformation.”

RR will take on the RCB at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur. The hosts will be eager to continue their three-match winning run in the upcoming fixture against the Faf du Plessis-led side. As for their ongoing season, RR have been spotless so far with three wins in as many games. They currently claim the second spot in the IPL 2024 standings with six points from three games. RR are placed right behind Kolkata Knight Riders. Both teams are level on points but the Shah Rukh Khan co-owned franchise’s net run rate is more than twice as better.
RR began their season with a solid 20-run victory over the Lucknow Super Giants. RR skipper Sanju Samson took home the Player of the Match award scoring an unbeaten 52-ball 82 runs. In their second match against the Delhi Capitals, Riyan Parag led RR’s attack as he smashed 84 runs in 45 balls. His heroics were enough to help his side reach a total of 185, eventually winning the match by 12 runs. In their last game, RR proved to be formidable against five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians. Parag stepped up once again scoring 54 runs in 39 balls to seal a six-wicket victory for the 2008 IPL winners.
