Paul Pogba who has been out due to a string of injuries has tested positive for banned substances in a doping test.
French midfielder, Paul Pogba has been provisionally suspended for testing positive for a banned substance, testosterone in his blood as reported by the Italian anti-doping authorities.
The midfielder currently plays for Juventus but his return to Turin has not been a memorable one. He has been plagued with various injuries which has ruled him out for seasons.
Pogba had amazing performances for Turin in his first stint with the club winning Golden Boy for the year 2013. He had made the Champions League finals with Juventus but eventually lost to Barcelona in the iconic MSN era, managed by Luis Enrique.
After his first stint in Juventus, he made the blockbuster switch to Manchester United, where he came up through the club’s academy before making the move to Juventus. He returned to the Red Devils under the management of Jose Mourinho. His first two campaigns with the Mancunian club was relatively decent but ever since he fell out with Mourinho, he has not been the same for the club.
Pogba has since won the World Cup in Russia and has been one of the top midfielders in the world in terms of ability but did not have the output to match.
Pogba was plagued with injuries which stopped him from having a run of games but in the end, the club decided not to renew his contract and made the return to Turin.
He has been involved in various disputes with his family which was made pubic by his brothers and has not had any luck with his game as well.
Pogba has only managed to make 10 appearances for Juventus in the previous season after being ruled out due to a string of injuries which hampered his return to Turin.
Fans also seem to have lost faith in the talented player and seem to want him out of the club due to the various distractions he provides.
Juventus are also currently in a bad spot after various point deductions which led to the club losing their spots in the UEFA Champions League and Conference League. This is due to the club being caught in financial irregularities which led to the club being deducted points relating to past transfer dealings.
