KL Rahul Won Hearts And Game On His Comeback: Pakistan batter Salman Agha escaped a career-threatening injury on Monday during the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash against the Indian cricket team at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Agha walked out to bat after the exit of Mohammad Rizwan and smashed 15 runs off 22 deliveries before copping the blow. The incident took place in the 21st over when Salman tried to play a sweep shot against star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Notably, Salman Agha wasn’t wearing a helmet and unfortunately for the Pakistan batter, the ball took the top edge of the bat and hit him flush on the face under his right eye.
KL Rahul Rushed To Check ‘Bleeding’ Salman Agha
As he got hurt, several Indian players gathered around to check on Salman before the Pakistan physio rushed in to treat the wound. Indian keeper KL Rahul, who was standing closest to Agha rushed in to check Salman before the Pakistan team physio and doctor arrived on the field.
Agha immediately started bleeding and required medical attention on the field but he was okay to resume after a brief stoppage in play. The physio and doctor also did a concussion test on the batter and deemed him fit to continue.
After ensuring that the batter is feeling okay to resume, the physio left. Salman wore the helmet this time and resumed the batting. He though added eight more runs to his total before being trapped LBW by Kuldeep Yadav later on.

Talking about the game, India dominated the contest after opting to bat first. Centuries from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul helped them to a massive 356/2 in 50 overs before they shattered the Pakistani batting line-up with their lethal bowling attack.
Eventually, India won the game against Pakistan by a whopping margin of 228 runs.
