India wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav is having a tour of the West Indies to remember. After taking 7 wickets in 3 ODIs, Kuldeep has taken 4 wickets in 2 T20I matches, his latest outing earning him three scalps that would further elevate his status with the Asia Cup squad set to be announced soon.
Kuldeep Yadav has made the most of the assistance that the bowlers have gotten on this tour, and the chinaman has made the hay while the sun shined on him in the Caribbean.
After missing the 2nd T20I due to a niggle, Kuldeep Yadav returned for the 3rd T20I in Guyana and spun a web around the West Indies batting by taking a three-wicket haul, including the wicket of the dangerous Nicholas Pooran who was the Man of the Match in the second T20I.
Kuldeep Yadav first had Johnson Charles, out lbw after missing his sweep. Though the umpire gave it not out on the field, India got it overturned with the help of DRS.
Kuldeep Yadav now has 50 T20I wickets in 30 matches
Kuldeep then made quick double strikes of Pooran and Brandon King in the last over of his spell. Pooran had in fact clobbered Kuldeep Yadav for a six and four in his previous over, but the leg-spinner made a brilliant comeback and had the final laugh over the dangerous Pooran. Pooran stepped out to smash Kuldeep for another six. But the bowler had dragged his length back and the ball spun as well to miss the swing of Pooran’s bat. Sanju Samson did the rest behind the stumps.
On the penultimate ball of his spell, Kuldeep made a caught and bowl of Brandon King. The right-handed slammed back a short and wider delivery back to the bowler.

This three-wicket haul from Kuldeep Yadav was key for India in ensuring West Indies scored below 160, otherwise, the likes of Nicholas Pooran and King could have made that total bigger.
