My name is Clement Dickson and I am a tennis player from Nigeria. I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old with the help of my older brothers who were self taught tennis players . Growing up in a less privileged community in Nigeria has not been easy but Tennis has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Tennis kept me out of trouble and off the streets.
I am writing to express my interest in pursuing a tennis scholarship in America, where I hope to continue improving my tennis skills while pursuing a higher education while playing College tennis.
As a young athlete, I have worked hard to develop my tennis skills through dedication and commitment to this beautiful sport. I have competed at the highest levels, in Nigeria and I am confident that my skills and abilities will be a valuable asset to any college tennis team. I am very hardworking, discipline, easy to teach, a team player and I follow instructions very well.
Throughout my journey, I have won several local and national competitions, and I have also represented my high school in various tennis tournaments. These achievements highlight my passion and determination for tennis, and I believe that I can add value to any tennis team in the United States.
Academically, I have maintained an impressive track record, consistently scoring good grades in my classes. I believe that I can balance my academic obligations with my passion for tennis and excel in both areas. A college tennis scholarship will provide me with the necessary support and resources to achieve my academic and athletic goals.
It has always been a dream of my to play college tennis away from Nigeria where I can really make an impact. So I look forward to an opportunity to showcase my skills in a tennis program.
