Pakistan will be taking on Australia in their second warm-up game ahead of the World Cup. Pakistan had been in good form since the beginning of the year. The team also proved to be dominant during the initial stages of the Asia Cup. However, ever since their loss to India in the Super Four stage, Pakistan have been unsuccessful in recovering their momentum. Their Asia Cup campaign came to an end at the hands of Sri Lanka. In their last warm-up game, they took on New Zealand. Despite boasting a good 345-run total, Pakistani bowlers failed to keep the Kiwis at bay as they ran away with a comfortable five-wicket victory.
The warm-up clash between Pakistan and Australia will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on October 3. Australia had a wonderful start to 2023 that saw them bag the ICC World Test Championship against India. However, they recently conceded a 1-2 defeat against the India in a bilateral ODI series. Their only victory against them came in the third game of the series which saw Mitchell Marsh smash 98 runs. His innings proved to be crucial as India lost the match by 66 runs.
