Ritika Sajdeh was attending India’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opener against Australia in Chennai.
India captain Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has shared a heartwarming post of her daughter on social media.
India are currently playing host to the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup.
The tournament is being held across 10 different venues in India. This means that the participating teams do have a hectic travel schedule to manage. This schedule also applies indirectly to the families and loved ones of the players and staff members, as they would also have to travel a lot to support their known ones.

In a similar situation, Ritika had to leave her daughter, Samaira, at home as she travelled alongside Rohit for India’s World Cup opener against Australia in Chennai.
However, Ritika’s recent Instagram Stories update shows that she is finally reunited with her daughter. In the story, she uploaded a picture of her daughter with the caption, “Back with my munchkin”.
Ritika was present at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai on October 8. She looked on as India produced an impressive show against Australia.
Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets as the five-time world champions were bowled out for 199.
During the second innings of the game, a look of disbelief set on Ritika’s face as three of India’s top-order batters including Rohit failed to score.
However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were able to anchor the innings for India as both batters scored half-centuries. After scoring 85 runs, Kohli was caught out in the 38th over off a delivery from Josh Hazlewood.
It was Rahul who finished the game for the hosts with a maximum as India picked up a six-wicket victory.
Rohit’s poor run at Chepauk continues with his duck in six balls against Australia. He has played seven ODI games at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
In those matches, Rohit has managed to accumulate only 140 runs. The Indian skipper has averaged 23.33 runs in Chennai, with a strike-rate 79.54.
India will take on Afghanistan next in their second game of the 2023 World Cup.
