Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan gave a very subtle hint to Dinesh Karthik to return to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the IPL 2024 season. Shah Rukh Khan hailed Dinesh Karthik’s finishing abilities, but time in his tweet it was in a different context.
Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie Jawan has been breaking records at the box office and has been a hit among the fans.
Veteran cricketer Dinesh Karthik also watched the movie and hailed the movie and Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in it.
After being mesmerized by the film, Dinesh Karthik took to Twitter to applaud actor Shah Rukh Khan, director Atler and others involved in the making of the movie.
Karthik tweeted: “SCALE and GRANDEUR
I’m sure it will become the Highest grossing INDIAN movie ever! What an amazing effort by @Atlee_dir to bring @iamsrk in so many avatars, my fav being Vikram Rathore, style and charisma like noone else ever has seen from SRK!
I remember when in 2018 I started with KKR and that’s when Atlee had started talks with SRK and infact he came for CSK vs KKR match at Chennai
It’s taken 5 long years, so many discussions, so many small script tweaks and so much has happened in this time and to put everything in perspective and bring it out so well in a proper commercial manner and to make every frame so much fun, filled with style and oomph was worth the wait!”

To this tweet from Dinesh Karthik, Shah Rukh in his reply thanked the wicket-keeper for his words of praise. The King Khan also told DK to watch the movie again after a few weeks when it would be about to come off the theatre screens as he’s the “finisher” that they want.

Dinesh Karthik and KKR had parted ways after the IPL 2021 and DK went to RCB where he’s been doing the finisher’s role for the last two seasons. He had a terrific IPL 2022, but faltered in IPL 2023. If Dinesh is not retained, he can go back in the auction pool and KKR would have a chance to rebuy him.
