Team India and Gujarat Titans’ young and talented Shubman Gill has added another feather to his already illustrious cap to further diversify the portfolio of his professional career. Gill will lend his voice to the upcoming animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Shubman Gill to lend his voice to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
While Gill is dubbing for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Hindi and Punjabi languages, on the other hand, Karan Soni will lend his voice in the English version.
The news about the same was confirmed by the makers of the sequel via an official announcement on social media. The movie will be released by Sony Entertainment India across the country by the name of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar.
Gill expressed his happiness
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill also expressed his interest in the upcoming project, saying that Spiderman is one of the most relatable superheroes for Indian kids. He said:
“I have grown up watching Spider-Man, and he is one of the most relatable superheroes. Since the movie will be debuting the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen, getting to be the voice of our Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in the Hindi and Punjabi languages was such a remarkable experience for me. Already, I feel superhuman. I am eagerly anticipating the release of this movie.”
The movie will be released on June 2 in India in 10 languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam.
General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) India — Shony Panjikaran welcomed Shubman Gill to this new venture. Panjikaran said that Gill is also a superhero, having represented the country and winning laurels at such a young age. He said:
“We are so excited to collaborate with Shubman Gill, as he’s not only a youth icon but also a true hero, having represented our country so well in international cricket while enthralling millions of fans with his on-ground heroics,”
