Meanwhile, India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Pune to continue their unbeaten streak in the World Cup 2023, having now won 4 out of 4 matches, the same as table-toppers New Zealand.
India will next face New Zealand in an exciting clash on Sunday in Dharamsala. India will be without star all-rounder Hardik Pandya who injured his ankle while bowling against Bangladesh. The BCCI has said that Pandya will miss the New Zealand game, and will fly to the NCA in Bangalore. Hardik is expected to be fit for the England game on October 29 in Lucknow.
Bangladesh has won just 1 match in 4 games. They have also been missing captain Shakib Al Hasan due to injury. They have lost three games in a row and are all but out of the semi-final race.
