If you are struggling with hitting your tennis balls in the court and you are for some reason always hitting the ball long and out. This is a great video for you to watch in this video I’m going to take you through three common mistakes, and three tips to help you keep the ball in the court and not always hit the ball out. The first one is what you’re doing is you’re gripping the racket way too hard. When you grip the racket too hard, you’re not allowing the racket to do the work, you’re not allowing the racket strings to go over the ball because you gripping it too hard and that’s why the ball always goes long. Number two is you’re losing your balance backwards, if you lose your balance backwards, the racket face will always open up as you fall back the racket face opens up, and if the racket face opens up the ball has to go up and long. Make sure your bodyweight goes forward, the more you go forward, the more the strings will close, and the more the ball will go in the court. Lastly, also very important. Make sure you’re not opening up your left shoulder. If you are opening up your left shoulder, the racquet also opens up, and the ball will just keep going long, the more you pull your left shoulder, the more the racquet opens up and the ball goes out and long, make sure to keep your head still keep watching the ball. Let the racquet go through and keep your head over the ball, this way, the left shoulder will not open up and push the ball out long.
